He Won The Race On A Fractured Leg.

Then he spent four years learning how to get other people back on their feet.

Senior year cross country. Lewis fractured his fibula during the regional championship and won the race anyway, on the broken leg. That same season he signed to run at the University of Florida.

Rehab put him in front of an AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill for the first time and it worked. Then COVID cancelled the season, the injury lingered, and he missed his freshman year at UF entirely. So he moved back to Ocala and trained full-time on the AlterG, five to seven miles a day at 70 to 85 percent bodyweight.

Three months later he ran 21:07 over four miles, an eighteen second personal best, built almost entirely on a machine that let him run when the ground would not. That race is where World of Motion took shape.

The Question ThatPut Us On Wheels.

Lewis's mentor, a lifelong equestrian, asked him something he could not answer. Professional basketball, football and baseball players all travel with a full support staff, to their games and to their homes. Why don't equestrians get the same?

It exposed a real gap. Equestrian athletes were not getting the caliber of care mainstream pro athletes take for granted, despite the same physical demands and the same competition schedule.

Our original clinic sat in downtown Ocala. On paper that is central. In practice it was a thirty minute drive from every horse farm in the area, which is far enough that nobody was making the trip twice a week in season. Being in the right city was not the same as being reachable.

So we stopped asking clients to come to the technology, and took the traditional training room and put it on wheels. Before all this, Lewis coached track and cross country, then spent over two years at Stretch Zone as a certified stretch practitioner, building World of Motion on the side the entire time.
